Pathology 451 Clerkship in Laboratory Medicine and Infection Prevention and Control

A health-care background is required to enroll in this course.
Pathology 451 is a mentored study course and takes place in a health-care setting. There is no on-line component (as with Path 427/467/477) to this course nor is classroom attendance at UBC required. The intent of the practicum is to provide a practical experience in infection control. The course will familiarize students with clinical infection control and/or various subspecialties of Laboratory Medicine.  It may involve attendance at an approved institution and/or a project assigned by the instructor(s); content of the clerkship will be preplanned with the student to meet their interests or requirements.
