Eligibility for the IPC Certificate:
The IPC Certificate is a continuing education certificate for individuals with health care experience, particularly in the area of infection control (i.e. health care professionals with patient contact). It is practically oriented and relies heavily on the individual having knowledge of how a hospital operates. Completion of the Certificate does not guarantee employment as an infection control practitioner.
Students without a health care background may be eligible to take individual courses, but may not be eligible to receive the certificate.
