Morshed, M

Clinical Associate Professor, Dept of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine

Research Interests

I am particularly interested in molecular epidemiology, pathogenesis and diagnosis of Zoonotic diseases and Emerging pathogens. Currently we are involved in Lyme disease, Relapsing fever, Ehrlichiosis, Treponema pallidum and Helicobacter pylori  and West Nile virus  diagnosis and  research. Our team is currently characterizing Borrelia isolates from British Columbia.  The team is also working on PCR based detection of Treponema pallidum from genital lesions.
